Funding achieved for Doucecroft School

We are delighted to have achieved a confirmed £30,000 from The Foyle Foundation

Excellent news of yet another major success achieved for the Essex Autistic Society.

Trustees of the Foyle Foundation have generously agreed £30,000 towards Clasroom 8; we now have £62,500 promised towards £104,000 needed for the conversion of what was peviously a Carport on the campus at Eight Ash Green, Essex, which with the help of a Capital Fundraising Campaign led by Charity Fundraising Ltd has been converted into a magnificent new school for children and young people with Autism.

Classroom 8 is being developed specifically to cater for the needs of older children and young people. The school is registered by the DfES to accomodate children over the age of sixteen. This will also enable Essex Autistic Society to provide improved education and care for those young people with Autism who have more complex needs and who would not be be able to attend the Further Education Department in Kelvedon.
