Upcoming Grant Funding Deadlines

Here’s a summary of some upcoming grant funding deadlines:

9th Aug 10
SITA Trust Enhancing Communities Programme
Grants of up to £10,000 for community facilities, sport and recreation facilities and historic buildings.

SITA Trust Young Person’s Volunteering Fund
Support available for projects that involve young people aged 14 -25 volunteering their time to make physical improvements to a public amenity. Grants available up to £10,000.

SPARK 2010
Supports an enterprising approach to prevent and tackle homelessness. They encourage applications from organisations developing business ideas that provide training, skills development, employment and independent living.

1st Sept 10
BLF Youth In Focus (opens)
The Big Lottery Fund are opening a new £30 Million fund called Youth In Focus for projects in England. Funding priorities include: Young Carers; Young People Leaving Care; and, Young people leaving youth offenders’ institutions. Grants between £500,000 and £1,000,000 (£1,500,000 for projects with national awareness and impact).

The Grocers’ Charity
Grants of £1,500 to £30,500 towards medicine, relief of poverty (including youth), heritage, disability, the arts, churches and the elderly.

Erach and Roshan Sadri Foundation
Supports education and welfare projects with grants between £2,000 and £100,000.

Comic Relief – Older People’s Programme
Projects working with older people aged 65+. Grants awarded between £15,000 and £40,000 towards.

Church and Community Fund (England)
Grants up to £15,000 to community projects run by parish churches and other bodies connected to or working in partnership with the church of England. Will fund salaries and capital costs.

Hilden Charitable Fund
Grants to support projects that help the homeless; asylum seekers and refugees; Community based initiatives for disadvantaged young people; Penal Affairs. They are particularly interested in funding organisations with an income of less than £200,000 per year. Average grants are for £5,000.

Comic Relief – UK Grant Programme
Funding between £15,000 and £40,000 for the following programmes mental health, domestic/sexual abuse, refugee and asylum seeking women and young people aged 11-25.
